Group Home Emergency Shelter Care

Our Group Home Emergency Shelter Care services provide a safe and stable environment for children and youth in crisis. Designed for those who require immediate care due to family disruption, abuse, neglect, or involvement with the juvenile justice system, our emergency shelter offers a structured, supportive setting where children’s emotional, physical, and developmental needs are met.

Our group home is staffed 24/7 by trained professionals who provide constant supervision and care. The focus is on ensuring the safety, stability, and well-being of each child while addressing their individual needs. We offer services such as case management, crisis intervention, and emotional support, working closely with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS), juvenile probation officers, and other agencies involved in the child’s case.

Children in our shelter receive comprehensive assessments to identify any immediate needs, and we develop a personalized plan to address their health, emotional, educational, and social requirements. We provide a nurturing environment where children can feel secure, while also working to reunify them with their families or find appropriate long-term placements.

In addition to providing shelter, we engage children in therapeutic activities, life skills training, and educational support to ensure their continued development during their stay. Our team collaborates with other service providers, schools, and community organizations to ensure each child receives holistic care and support.

Our Group Home Emergency Shelter Care program is designed to be a temporary solution, focused on stabilizing the child and helping them transition to a more permanent, supportive environment. We are committed to providing a safe, caring space where children can thrive during a difficult time in their lives.

Family Preservation Services

Our Family Preservation Services are designed to support families who have experienced substantiated incidents of abuse, neglect, or delinquency. These services aim to ensure children can safely remain in their homes with their caregivers by providing targeted interventions that strengthen family dynamics and address identified concerns. We work closely with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) and juvenile probation officers to tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each family.

Our goal is to preserve the family unit while prioritizing the safety and well-being of the child to ensure that our approach is grounded in proven methods for positive outcomes. We also integrate family-driven, strength-based interventions that actively involve all family members in the process of setting goals and addressing safety concerns.

Our services include 24/7 crisis response and intensive safety planning, providing families with continuous support.  We also offer concrete assistance, helping families access resources for housing, utilities, food, and other essential needs to prevent child removal and promote family stability.

With the goal of preserving family unity, our services are tailored to each family’s strengths, needs, and goals, and we work diligently to foster a safe, nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive.

Supervised Parenting Time

Our Supervised Parenting Time services provide a safe and supportive environment for children, parents, siblings, and other family members who have been separated due to substantiated cases of abuse, neglect, or juvenile probation involvement. We offer an opportunity for families to reconnect and reestablish their relationships under the guidance of experienced professionals, ensuring the well-being of the child is always the top priority.

These sessions allow parents to actively engage with their children while learning and applying new parenting skills. They also offer a chance to assess their ability to parent effectively. Our services support the goals of the Department of Child Services (DCS) and Juvenile Probation by facilitating meaningful interactions and helping parents strengthen their parenting abilities.

We provide supervised visitation in various settings, including visitation facilities, neutral public sites such as parks or restaurants, and, where appropriate, in homes or foster environments. The safety and emotional well-being of the child are always carefully considered when selecting the location.

Our supervision levels are tailored to the specific needs of the family and the goals of the case. Whether focusing on protective supervision, ongoing assessment for family reunification, or supporting family therapy through practical parenting guidance, we ensure each session aligns with the child’s best interest.

In addition, we offer standard supervised parenting time services, which often include homemaker or parent services, offering guidance on child supervision, nutrition, and other essential parenting skills.
